A "come and go" event to bless our beloved pets in honor of St. Francis of Assisi. All pets must be leashed or contained.
Carter Bloodcare will be onsite to take blood donations for our community.
Our community senior citizens come together for a great time enjoying apple cider in the pumpkin patch.
Come and shop in our annual fundraiser which highlights sweets, treats, and other baked goods from our church kitchens.
From the question, "Why can't we have a Pumpkin Patch like other towns?" spoken in a bible study in 2004, we have witnessed the planting of seeds of faith that turn a barren hill into a Pumpkin Patch. The joyfulness and vision of the Patch remains while from year to year, as we strive to refresh the Patch with activities for all, always aware of the bountiful blessings from God. Indeed, St. Matthew's Episcopal Church has becomes the little church on the hill with "The Best Pumpkin Patch" ever each October.
Annual celebration of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi offers a public expression of the special bond we have with the animals in our lives and reinforces our kinship with all creatures great and small.
Fall presents a great time for you to come and visit the Patch and take advantage of our props and photo opportunities that have been setup for you to create family memories.
Our annual and casserole bake sale is a great time to purchase something sweet or savory to prepare for your upcoming holiday meals or to share as you enjoy walking among the pumpkins in the Patch.
Each year we partner with Rusk County Pets Alive and the Henderson Animal Shelter to fundraise and raise awareness of local humane needs. We are blessed to work in partnership with these local organizations each year.
